ELEVATING CONSCIOUSNESS THROUGH FASHION
Allpamamas is an ethical fashion project born out of the intercultural exploration of our team’s shared experiences. Designers María Puente Silva (Spain) and Vanessa Alarcón (Ecuador) fuse their knowledge with that of artisans in the Ecuadorian Andes to create pieces that embody ancestral wisdom, quality design and deep love for our Allpamama, our Mother Earth. Each of our handmade garments is unique and contains its own identity. They are conceptualized, designed and produced in Ecuador.
CLOTHES ARE SKIN
Our garments are designed to be functional, comfortable and above all, long-lived. They are carefully assembled by hand with top quality materials, remaining healthy and good-looking throughout their long lives.
All of our designs are born out of a co-creation between designers and artisans. Together we create our own interpretation of the world around us and let it live on our textiles.
SUSTAINABILITY IS A RESPONSIBILITY
Our design and production honor our Mother Earth, taking into account how to best serve her in every step.
We create with natural fibers, upcycled materials and organic dyeing recipes passed down by the grandmothers.
Each piece is designed aiming at zero waste.
Through our work, we aim to reclaim artisanal professions as the worthy and fairly paid professions they once were within the communities that we work with.
This enables women in the countryside to pursue them rather than leaving to the city in search for jobs.
We work with women who carry the knowledge of their ancestors, which remains from when Ecuador was renowned for its quality handmade textiles.
Many of these techniques are nearing extinction - we'd like to change that.
